Fluid Art Group

In Spanish and English.

May 4, 2023 (first Thursday of every month). Duration at least 1 1/2 hours.

For those who haven’t come before, I will give some techniques to start you off (“dendrites” using ink and acrylic paint, mixing varnish and paint).

Feel the joy of creation and experimentation.

Fluid art is messy. Bring old clothes or I can provide you with clothes. You can bring an old picture frame to use as your canvas if you like. Otherwise, we have canvases to paint on. My only charge is for the canvases you use. (If you feel like making a donation to a school in Gambia, here is their link.)

The address is Horacio Nelson 26 in Santa Cruz. Enter via the garage with the fish. The door will be open.

These techniques require 2 days to dry, so you will need to come back to pick up the art you created. Take photos or videos during the process! You may find that your artwork has changed dramatically after drying. You may decide that your photo is the art.

Let me guess: You made great art until you were 10, then you stopped once you started feeling “judged”, either by others or by yourself. If so, then it’s time to re-discover the inner child artist within you. This is an art class for “non-artists”. No skills required.

See pictures below to get an idea of my techniques. I don’t teach the standard fluid art technique using floetrol or silicone that you can find all over youtube.

During the class, there may be a bonus burlesque show by our dog, Leon Trotsky.
